Rambles from a girl who loves exploring, reflecting and Biryani
In the lap of the magnificent monument stands the museum that takes you to the alleys of history. From models of the Gandhara civilization to history's greatest migration, the museum covers it all. The displays left me in awe whether it be the graceful carts of Jinnah or the shining Mercedes Pullman S600, that served later presidents.
Growing up in Karachi, I have seen a variety of cultures from Quetta to Kashmir. The bazaars sell everything from Sindhi Ajrak to Peshawari chappals. The bustling food streets have everything from Lahori paye to Kashmiri chaye. The Lok Virsa Heritage Museum looked philosophically similar to Karachi as it housed all shades of Pakistani culture under one roof.
The ache for Karachi has accompanied me even in the busiest of cities like Istanbul. However, staying in the guesthouse with NO WiFi (yes you read that right) was a true pain. As my 3G signals went down so did my mood.
